Hi my name is Victor Joseph Scazzola. I’m raising funds to run for US Senate in the great state of New Jersey. I am running as an Independent because playing party lines is not working to produce the best legislation. As an Independent I will work with both parties to come up with great legislation, that is passable in both houses. I’ve worked throughout the United States protecting our country from terrorist attacks and my oath was to God and Country for life. I want to continue serving the US by taking a seat. I hope that anyone in any state or anywhere can help me so I can help you as a US Senator.

I was born in Philadelphia PA. Then we moved to Cleveland OH for a few years, next was Arizona where I did most of my growing up and summers in New Jersey. I had a great life. We had great schools, Pueblo elementary, colors purple and gold; then on to Saguaro high school, black and gold; then to college at U of A, red, white and blue; then ASU, maroon and gold; then the Army, black and gold, then to ASU again and finally graduated at U of A . I have a top notch education.

When I joined the Army I was sent to Ft. Benning GA, after basic I went to Ft Carson CO, and during my service did maneuvers in CA, NM, TX. As I look back on it, it was the best thing I ever did. I’ve made a lot of great friends and coming up in 2025 it’ll be 40 years hopefully we can get together for a reunion. I was 11 hotel a toe infantry missile man. These missiles are not just for the infantry now they are in use on helicopters and armored personnel vehicles. They are tank killers and the Russians are now being destroyed by them.

After college I moved to New Jersey where I had lots of family. I worked for my cousin in the vending business.

Today I’m a 59 year old male that has never been married, although, I wanted to be when i was young. I have no children that I know of. LOL. Truthfully I’ve been responsible and believed I should not bring a child into our world unless I could afford to give them all they need. I was wrong I should have committed to my girl Amy because, I was in love. I always wanted children and they are truly a blessing. I believe children are our most valuable natural resource. We should do more to protect them and advance them.

That’s why I want to have a program for a children’s bill of rights, written by children. The program would teach self expression, tradition, and so many other things that would prepare them to write the bill of rights. The program would include field trips; something that is almost gone in our schools and it is a very motivating for the children.

With that in mind we have many problems with family in this world. The issue of abortion is back in the spotlight. We need a final conclusion about this. I support a women’s right to choose but i am pro life. So i have ideas for two new programs to address our situation.

First is new rights and responsibilities for fathers. Splitting families is a huge problem in our country. Fathers must be more involved in support and growth of their children. With new rights for fathers and clear responsibilities, the splitting of families will stop. Family is very important for a strong society.

The second program is one that would in effect counsel a woman that wants an abortion. The main thrust of this program is to convince a woman not to have an abortion. There would be education but also a way to place the child into a foster parents care if the mother still does not want the child. Giving the opportunity of more choice we can reduce abortions. Everyone agrees that abortion is un-natural and has long term negative effects on all those involved. Ultimately the process of this program would help to stop the abortions in this country. The new fathers rights would include their right to claim the child after conception. With this program i know the abortions in this country will go down.

Side note: These programs could be part of service to country.

I’ve been a hard worker in life but I was born into poverty and it took me about 32 years to finally get above the line. I know what its like in life to live paycheck to paycheck and still not have enough for the basics. Anyone who is working or productive should have financial stability in their life. That is why we must secure Social Security and raise the amount that is paid. No-one on Social Security Should live in poverty. We must keep our people above the poverty line. Nobody has to live life with financial needs, we do have enough to take care of “US”. Our senior and disabled need more and should be treated in a better fashion. Imagine someone who works at a convent store all their life and cannot support themselves when the need to retire. We all need our convenient store workers. (I always thank them when they are working on the holiday’s.) Again don’t they give enough to be secure. This is just one of many stories we can think of about people that now live in poverty due to the low pay of Social Security.

I think it’s time for service to country to be mandatory. We all need more training and the help is needed in our country in different forms. I think our youth wants to help. We need firefighters to stop the summer fires that are destroying so much of our precious land. Counselors to stop abortion, work with the mentally ill, do ride alongs with police to aid their heavy loads. Medical assistants and senior services aides are needed. I’m sure you have seen the needs on TV. Assistant teacher are also needed to keep our students getting the best education. Teachers need smaller class sizes to be more effective and additional teacher are the key to doing this, The armed services are a great start in life too. They need high quality individuals too. We need our youths to help us. They are our future and it seems they are getting lost on the journey of life. Not all of them but enough. There are so many positions that could be in the program, I have not mentioned all of the possible positions. The services our youth can give is enormous, and again needed drastically. Most of all when its all done they will feel like it was the best thing they every did and give a new sense of dedication to our nation and people.

I believe that if congress votes to shut the government down, they should be voted out of office. Shutting the government down causes great hardship for those that don’t get paid, to say the least, and it allows infiltration of our system, thus causing more problems for us. Shutting down the government is like going into a time warp and not knowing where you’ll come out. Of course this is my opinion but I know shutting the government down is not good.

If you donate to my Senate race I expect most of the money will go to gas. Traveling the state, meeting people is what I will do most. The other major cost is, printing services; to get pamphlets and mailings. I need a bulk mail permit to reach out to the state. Another cost I have is the buying of a computer for my electronic fillings and to do things for the campaign. Dreaming big would be commercials and air time. I want to build a HQ with a school but that is another 4 million. It would be nice to get some new clothes to look good to the public. Instead of buying them I’m offering another way to donate. Also you can donate your time. Telling your friends and others about the new independent candidate is the real grassroots of the campaign. Money is a big part of the campaign. It shows that I have support and in addition it allows for the needs of campaigning. I understand the concerns of so many as money is not an option for them to help, but remember your help could be your time. You can contact me! Also I would like to have a concert towards the end of the summer here in Seaside Heights NJ. I would need to pay the bands unless they were to do it as a free donation. It is a ways away but I’ll be working on it soon. The leading candidates have millions of dollars and that’s because they’ve been running for so many years, they’ve been collecting money for years and have a big advantage. I would like to have paid positions in my campaign for fundraisers, web designers, bodyguards, and others who will work for my campaign in the different ways that I would need. Finding volunteers is tough these days. Since I’m considered a long shot at this point, people are not ready to get involved, I understand. Everyone has to work and make money to survive in the tough times we have now. Time is a commodity some people do not have. So give your money or your time but most of all vote Victor.
